Who are we?

My name is Shakirra Sesay, and I am the founder of Love Yours, a cards-for-conversation business. We create question prompts with insightful questions for 2 or more people to use as a way to explore each other.

While you get to know one another, we want you to get to know us — and the reason why we undertook this journey.

My partner and I are curious by nature and have always had a deep desire to truly know each other. We used conversation cards to ask the questions that would allow us to truly discover who each other are. In all honesty, the answers often caused conflict. One of us would be triggered, and we’d find ourselves unsure of how to move forward. Eventually, we stopped using them. We thought long and hard about solutions. And despite not being therapists, we’ve compiled tools and approaches that have helped us strengthen our relationship and better manage conflict through meaningful conversation (these can be found in our ‘Two Become One’ deck for couples. This is our gift to you.

We believe that conversations make the world go round & without that human connection and interaction, humans are starved of what they truly need & desire to function in society.

I created Love Yours not only to encourage you to love and appreciate what is yours, but also to be willing to work through challenges & find solutions, rather than jump ship when things get hard.
